Although our numbers were a little reduced this month, with many staying away due to travels and the summer heat, the day itself... proved to be very nice weather, and the competition was " relaxed".... 'other than for one individual, who scooped three prizes and has only been playing just over a year !...'
First of all I have to mention the reception we received from the Creek GC... everything was perfect, even down to our names being posted on each locker door, and a personalised Divots water bottle for every individual player... well done Creek GC, we will be back for sure...
For the actual competition, well as numbers were down we decided to slightly limit the prizes... awarding as follows:
NTP hole 5. = Gavin Mackie
NTP hole 14 = Matthew Cleaver
NTP in 2 = Gavin Mackie
Longest drive ( 260 yds ) = Sam Murdock
Winner Division B = Gavin Mackie 39 points ( 18.8 ) shall we cut him ?
Winner Division B = Jesse Vora (((15 points))) due to limited number of Div A !
But you have to be in it to win it...
Overall Winner on a Hcp 12 and with 40 points
John Denman... who won two tickets to see the rock legends KISS and a clutch of other super prizes including box of ProV1, hat, towel.... 😎

EVENT NEWS
Next month, September, we will be playing weekly at the Trump Par3 every Wednesday from 7.30pm... and I have decided NOT to have a monthly main event due to my other commitments ... sorry about that.. but lets make up for that in October ...
OCTOBER
For October, we will be having a special event at the AlAin Golf Course, and we are in the middle of organising it for a Saturdays game, followed by an optional Hotel stay, meaning that we can have an evening meal and prize giving...
This gives those who want to make a weekend of it the opportunity to bring family, spouses, children etc....
AlAin has a Zoo and other attractions and it would be great to see spouses....accompanying their normally absent golfing partners...
We will release details asap, giving everyone plenty of time to set aside this special weekend with the DUBAI DIVOTS...

GULF for GOOD
All I can say is well done and thank you to the generosity that the DUBAI DIVOTS have shown to this official charity, where we will have raised well over 20k by the time we hand it over to the Gulf for Good Chairman in the Autumn Considering we only ask 50aed each for "subs".. this is a great result, and special thanks to Mike Gopal and HL Global who are matching every dirham raised from our Wednesday evening events, as well as supplying the box of ball prize for each week, and a special end of series prize every two months or so

The DUBAI DIVOTS involvement with Gulf for Good is about to go way beyond just putting your hand in your pocket ( although we are deeply grateful for each dirham raised )
