SUMMER......With many away with family and friends, I am sure we can still get a good number for our August event.... Several have already signed up.. with more promising to do so... We need to know the numbers, so that we can support our sponsor MyGolf...

It would be fair to say that our June event at the Creek was a really hot and humid day and many suffered, but thankfully all recovered.... July at the Earth was not as bad, but I have to say a huge thank you to all that showed .. 40 was a brilliant number for a July event and both Adam Smith and James Evans did a great job whilst I was nursing my covid....
ProHyatt Autos and repairs who sponsored The Earth event, have expressed how grateful they are for the new business and support from our members, and so I have great news that they will again be sponsoring us during the winter program.. More of that to come later, but in the meantime if you need a service or repair, just contact Edward at ProHyatt and he will look after you for sure... mention that you are a Dubai Divot please...
The social scene around the Dubai Divots has been, and continues to be legendary, and although I personally cannot keep up with you young ones..... the brunches and "sessions" help to cement the Dubai Divots as a great golf society... so much so that we intend to post some social events in the future, and where your spouse and children can enjoy the social spirit of the Dubai Divots.... ( warning, some events have not always been children friendly.. "Messy" is probably the word I am looking for ! ).
And remember, we are a society of NO fee's.. NO Subs ... NO 'pot for prizes' from members, and thanks to our founders ( you know who you are ) the society continues to flourish.. As you would expect in an expat community, we sadly have members who have left us to go back to their origins, but happily we have new members and we continually seek to enlarge our already large membership ( unofficially about 120.. officially signed up about 80 ). (( If you have not yet signed up.. please for to the membership page on the website,, by doing so you get vouchers and other offers only available to signed up members... ))

SUMMING UP.... I have a questions for you all.... If we could get it right, and set up a "who wants to play golf" section on the website, where only members can access and seek a game or offer a slot ( outside of the monthly event ).... would you be interested in that ? and do you think we should do it ? I will only do it if the majority think it a good idea, as it takes time to build it into the website...
