Membership of the Dubai Divots is free, but we do ask that once you have decided to join, you purchase at least one Divots Shirt... ( currently out of stock.. new shirts by xmas )

We are a non-ego social society and only ask that as a member you abide by our code of conduct.

And you take the oath of membership.....

I ( ...name... ) pledge to always repair the divots that I make, indulge in beverages copiously and only curse when I miss a drive, fairway, chip or putt. My handicap will be true and honest and I will always have fun and enjoy the company of others. Should I fail in my oath to the Dubai Divot's, then I swear to purchase beverages for those I have let down...

This new form needs to be completed by everyone, we are not fully automated, but when we receive this info, we will update the records on a regular basis.

If you do not have an official handicap, then there is a box just for you !
​
If you have an official handicap, then it will be on the "international index system" and again there is a box for you..
​
In the unlikely event that there is a dispute for a prize..( highly unlikely ) then the member with the official handicap will come before the member who does not have one... only fair..

None of the information you share with us will be used for anything other than direct Dubai Divots use. At any time you can delete this info by sending us an email and we will delete you from the list.

The Dubai Divots will NOT share our data with our sponsors, but we may add a button on the form in the future to enable us to email our members with sponsor promotions..

Look out for sponsor promotions on this website.... and also in our BLOGS which are directed to your email address supplied. Remember that we do not charge fee's or subs and that the prizes are from our sponsors and donators...

The Dubai Divots has at times had over 300 members, and so therefore we ask please that you fill this in asap so that we can keep our member list up to date..

IMPORTANT HANDICAP RULES FOR THE DIVOTS...
If you have an official internationally recognised handicap, then we will use your authenticated handicap and adjust to the individual golf course rating.. for example, I am 18 EGF, but at the AlZorah GC I was adjusted to 21 hcp.. when entering an event please show your CURRENT index EGF/ETC handicap.... . If you do not have an official handicap, show the same as you did when you joined, unless you have been CUT by the Captain !!!
Division's. We use your index hcp, and not the course handicap. so don't get all excited to be in a lower division B if you are 17 or less official handicap, because although your scores on that day, we will use the course rating, your official handicap will remain for your division rating ... If you feel this is unfair, please send me by post via Mongolia and attested in Russia an official complaint that I will file for three years and then revue under the bin system...
DIV A. 0-17. DIV B. 18 - 28. LADIES up to 36 hcp....

Handicap CUTS.. The handicap committee will make a cut to an official handicap if that player exhibits "unusually exceptional" results that get a majority shout down at the awards ceremony.... hehehe .. 😂
If a player shows skills far beyond his or her UNOFFICIAL handicap, the the committee has the power to reduce the handicap of that individual by as many shots as they deem appropriate... and there will be no recourse on the decision made....

in other words, it is far better to have an official handicap than not.....
